The Grounds, Gardens & Mountain Views at Alder Grove
Some of our most-photographed images aren’t of events at all — they’re of the property itself. Alder Grove’s grounds include professionally landscaped gardens, mature tree canopies that have grown in over decades on the former Crosby family tree farm, open meadow space, wooded paths, and the iconic mountain views that define the venue: Mt. Rainier rising in the distance from the ceremony lawn, and Mt. St. Helens to the east — the Pacific Northwest landmark that Castle Rock is the official gateway to. These photos give you a sense of what the property looks like throughout the year: spring with new green growth, summer with full sun across the meadow and the mountain shining bright, fall with bigleaf maples turning gold, and winter with low Pacific Northwest light filtering through the trees.
If you’re scouting outdoor wedding venues or planning a corporate retreat in southwest Washington, the grounds gallery is the best way to get a feel for the scale and character of the property before you visit in person. You can also read more about the property’s history and amenities on the About the Venue page.
